GLASS PACKAGING NOTICE
Rowdy Rooster Artisan Market products are packaged in glass jars. Glass can crack, chip, shatter or develop sharp edges if it is dropped, struck, improperly opened, exposed to excessive force or otherwise mishandled.
Customers and recipients are responsible for handling all packages and glass jars carefully after delivery.
INSPECTION UPON DELIVERY
Customers should inspect the shipping box, internal packaging, jar, lid and seal immediately after delivery and before opening, handling or consuming the product.
Do not open or consume the product if:
• The jar is broken, cracked or chipped
• The jar is leaking
• The lid is loose, raised, bulging or visibly damaged
• The seal appears compromised
• Glass fragments are visible or suspected
• The product appears spoiled, contaminated or otherwise unsafe
If any damage is observed or suspected, keep children and pets away from the package. Do not handle broken glass with bare hands and do not consume any product that may have contacted broken glass.
Photograph the jar, contents, shipping box, internal packaging and shipping label, and contact orders@rowdyroosterkitchen.com within 48 hours of delivery.
Damaged-jar claims are governed by our Return and Refund Policy.
RESPONSIBILITY AFTER DELIVERY
After an order has been successfully delivered, the customer or recipient assumes responsibility for the safe inspection, opening, handling, storage, use and disposal of the product and its packaging.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Rowdy Rooster Artisan Market is not responsible for personal injury, property damage or loss occurring after delivery when caused by:
• Dropping, striking or mishandling a jar
• Opening a jar with a knife, tool or excessive force
• Handling broken, cracked, chipped or visibly damaged glass
• Continuing to handle or use packaging after damage is discovered or suspected
• Failure to inspect the jar and packaging before opening or consumption
• Improper storage or handling
• Failure to follow product-label instructions or safety warnings
• Reusing or repurposing the jar or lid
• Allowing children or pets to handle the jar or packaging
• Improper disposal of broken glass or damaged packaging
• Alteration, tampering, transfer or resale of the product after delivery
SAFE OPENING AND HANDLING
Place the jar on a stable, dry surface before opening. Do not strike the lid or jar against another object. Do not use knives or sharp tools to pry open the lid.
If the jar slips, falls or experiences a significant impact, inspect it carefully for cracks, chips or other damage before further handling. Some glass damage may be difficult to see.
Keep glass jars and lids away from unsupervised children and pets.
BROKEN OR DAMAGED GLASS
If a jar breaks:
• Do not touch broken glass with bare hands
• Keep children and pets away from the area
• Do not consume or attempt to salvage the product
• Use appropriate protective equipment during cleanup
• Carefully dispose of the glass and contaminated food in accordance with local requirements
Food that has contacted or may have contacted broken glass must be discarded.
STORAGE AND PRODUCT SAFETY
Follow all storage and refrigeration instructions printed on the product label. Refrigerate the product after opening.
Do not consume the product if its appearance, odor, seal or container raises a safety concern.
Products must not be consumed after tampering, improper storage, visible contamination or damage to the jar, lid or seal.
LIMITATION OF DISCLAIMER
Nothing in this Legal Notice is intended to exclude or limit liability for a product defect existing when the product was sold, gross negligence, willful misconduct or any legal right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Nothing in this notice changes the customer’s rights under applicable consumer-protection or product-safety law.
